PHASE 01 · Distance learning
You complete 100% of aircraft-systems ground school from home through CPaT, before you ever arrive. That is what makes the on-site footprint short.
PHASE 02 · Systems integration
Instructor-led classroom sessions using a full-scale cockpit mock-up (paper tiger). Here you tie together everything from distance learning and prepare to get the most out of every simulator session.
PHASE 03 · Simulator
Crewed sessions on Level D full flight simulators with experienced pilots. Your initial rating includes 24 hours of FFS and LOFT.
PHASE 04 · Checkride
The final evaluation of your training: demonstrate that you fly to standard and earn your A320 type rating.

Yes. Avenger Flight Training runs an FAA Part 142 program. Part 142 is what separates a certificated training center, with approved courses and standards, from an operation that simply rents you simulator hours. It is a fair thing to ask every provider, and to ask them to show you.
Our initial A320 rating is an 11-day footprint for US-based pilots, because 100% of ground school is done from home through CPaT before you arrive. International pilots on an ESTA run 14 to 17 days. Upgrades are 6 days and recurrent is 2. A 22-day instructor-led premium option is available if you prefer more classroom time.
Your oral exam and simulator evaluation are conducted by our in-house Training Center Evaluator, and the evaluator fees are already in your price. Avenger quotes all-inclusive, so there are no surprise checkride costs after your deposit.
Across the US market an A320 type rating generally runs between roughly $18,000 and $48,000, depending on what is bundled: ground school, simulator hours, evaluator fees and whether you train as a crew or solo. Avenger quotes each pilot individually and all-inclusive, so the number you are given is the number you pay.
Often yes. Pilots from Visa Waiver Program countries can train on an ESTA with no embassy interview, which suits our short footprint. Other passports use the M-1 student route, which needs more lead time. All non-US citizens complete a TSA background check, and we guide you through it on day one. Run the checklist and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
That is one of the two groups this program is built for. Eligible US military pilots may obtain civilian certificates through the FAA military competency path under 14 CFR 61.73, and may qualify for a Restricted ATP at 750 hours. Note that Avenger is not currently VA or GI Bill approved, so most military-transition pilots plan through personal or employer funding. Tell us what you fly now and we will map the route across.
No. A self-sponsored type rating makes you employable on the type; it does not make you hired. What it does is remove the qualification most airlines screen for, and put you in the pool. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you something else.
